Texas Ranch
Independence, Texas
At first glance, the bucolic setting and idyllic assemblage of buildings of this 1800 acres cattle ranch appear to have existed since the original Czech and German settlers first settled this rolling countryside.
A new collection of buildings has been designed as a country retreat. A deep porch and sweeping roofline accent the main house in an iconic gesture typical of rural farm buildings of late 19th century Texas. The house is positioned to take advantage of southwesterly breezes and view to the lake.
